CASES Volunteer of the Year 2025 – Nominations Open

2nd June 2025

The CASES Volunteer of the Year Award 2025 opens its nominations window today, at the start of Volunteers' Week 2025. Volunteers’ Week is a national annual celebration of the millions of people who volunteer throughout the UK and runs 2 to 8 June 2025.

Following the success of the inaugural Volunteer of the Year Award in 2023, CASES will continue, in 2025, to recognise all the hard work and dedication that CASES receives from all the volunteers working on behalf of the Association.

CASES CEO Ian Wilson said, “We understand that many members devote much time and energy to their role and are not seeking recognition. However, CASES would not be where it is, were it not for this contribution.

“As such, we would like to show our appreciation, and to commit to recognising members who contribute in the future.”

Why should you take the time to nominate a CASES member? BASES Volunteer of the Year 2023, Dr Andy Smith MBE, FCASES said, “I was honoured to be recognised as the BASES Volunteer of the Year in 2023. It meant a lot to me that someone took the time to nominate me, and that the Association acknowledged my contribution. As BASES is built and sustained on voluntary effort, can I encourage colleagues to nominate those who they think have gone the extra mile to make things happen for the profession and scientific discipline.”
