Sheffield Hallam University accepted onto the CASES Accredited Partnership Scheme

CASES is delighted to announce that Sheffield Hallam University has been accepted on to the CASES Accreditation Partnership Scheme. Sheffield Hallam University becomes the second Higher Education Institute to be accepted onto the scheme.

With Sheffield Hallam University’s acceptance on to the CASES Accreditation Partnership Scheme, this now sets a new benchmark in industry recognition, becoming the first university to be accepted onto the partnership scheme whilst simultaneously holding the full range of CASES HEI course endorsements, namely Undergraduate (CUES), Postgraduate (CPGES) and Postgraduate SEPAR (PSES), and maintaining their CASES Laboratory Accreditation.

CASES Accreditation enables key employers and deployers in the sport and exercise science sector to support sport and exercise scientists to develop in their careers, and support employers to safeguard their employees and clients.

Successfully approved organisations employing sport and/or exercise science staff can support their employees to apply for CASES Accreditation via a ‘streamlined’ direct application route.  The streamlined route involves the development and submission of an accreditation application portfolio containing a supervisor report written by an Accredited CASES member or CASES Fellow of that accredited organisation.

Sheffield Hallam’s official accreditation status means they join a prestigious list of sporting institutions that have achieved accredited status, including the UK Sports Institute (formerly the English Institute of Sport), Everton FC, Newcastle United FC, Leicester City FC, sportscotland Institute of Sport, and Keele University.
